In this eight week writing class for beginners, we will meet twice a week to learn how to write the four most popular styles of writing. These are the styles of writing that young children should know by the end of elementary school. We will begin this writing journey with a discussion about writing. We will talk about the many reasons people write. We will share our personal likes and dislikes related to story telling and writing. I will ask them about their wishes, likes, dislikes and use...
This class is taught in English.
I have been a classroom teacher for over twenty years. I have taught all types of writing to students at all levels of ability and skill proficiency. I am confident that I can bring the best out of your child. I will use visual aides, examples, modeled instruction, q&a and many techniques to engage the students in my class. Hopefully, they will see that writing can be fun!

Homework will be assigned. Students will be expected to write outside of class.Assessments Offered
Grades Offered
A writing notebook and a writing folder for holding rough drafts, revisions, and final publications. The style of the notebook and folder are your choice. We just need a way to stay organized and keep our writing together.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
