In this introductory class, students will learn an overview of the different movie genres and all about the movie-making process. We will discuss different types of movies that we have seen and begin to categorize them into genres. We will also learn about the three phases of film production and how they relate to each other. Informal assessment will take place during the lesson as we sort familiar movies into different genres.
