Homework
1-2 hours per week. Before the first class, students will do 1-2 of these assignments to be discussed during the seminar. 1: Do one thing you brings you joy that you normally do not have time to do. Reflect on why this brings you joy. Also reflect on why you do not normally do it. How will you bring this more into your daily routine. 2: Do one thing that you do not enjoy. This is not something that is homework, exercise or something your parents want you to do. This is something that you choose that you think will benefit you but do not currently find joy in. It can be a chore but not something someone else asks you to do. Consider bringing this practice into your life weekly if not daily.Class Experience
Topics: This thoughtful self-care symposium is an intro to the world of self-care for teens. In these ongoing sessions, youth will build skills to reaching their full potential by talking about stress and finding strategies for reducing anxiety through igniting inspiration in their daily lives. It is designed to allow for teens to witness and observe what brings them joy and inspires them while co-creating in this course. This course, as it is private, can be developed in any way desired. Sessions build awareness in mindfulness and meditation. It can be a pre-cursor for the 7 or 30 day mindfulness group bootcamp, and possible college applications work (another session/course), as self-awareness is a good skill to build in advance. Many youth end up being run down from zoom school, and going through the motions which brings them to the only thing they know for self-care, perhaps video games or tiktok/facebook or other social media. This session is a sweet pick-me-up to bring their highest selves to be participating. Class structure: Class time will begin with a meditation for grounding, followed by a facilitated dialogue which allows students to practice speaking and expressing their feelings in new situations, bond over what brings them joy/inspiration, and learn/practice techniques for stress alleviation. Prerequisites: None. This class will teach some simple ways to bring peace to each moment through breathing practices and meditation. Teaching style: I am quite interactive and make classes fun for teens. My goal is to inspire students. I am a college professor with a full-time tutoring business in coaching, languages, history and world affairs. I am a former diplomat and self-care is one of these life skills that is super critical when working in high stress environments. If you would like more information about me and my style, I have a website that synthesizes that essence and long list of recommendations from parents and students. I catalyze inspiration. Classes: Please note that since this is a private session for 1-2 teens max, you can choose which of the assignments you would like to do, in whatever order. This is a loose list to be followed :-) - Sessions are co-created with the teen participant. Day One: Do one thing you brings you joy that you normally do not have time to do. Reflect on why this brings you joy. Also reflect on why you do not normally do it. How will you bring this more into your daily routine. Day Two: Do one thing that you do not enjoy. This is not something that is homework, exercise or something your parents want you to do. This is something that you choose that you think will benefit you but do not currently find joy in. It can be a chore but not something someone else asks you to do. Consider bringing this practice into your life weekly if not daily. Day Three: Nature Reflection Day Four: Cooking Project - Cook something (new?) with your family or for your family. Reflect on if this is a chore or something you like to do. Go all out and make the thing you’ve always wanted to make and haven’t. How does this make you feel? Don’t know how to cook? Great time to learn! Cook with a friend or family member and make something memorable. Other options: Day Five: Doing New Things; Day Six: Exercise - go on a walk in a park. Or if you prefer, dance in your house. :-) ; Day Seven: Social Media and Technology Fasting

Amazing Coach!
I always feel good when I think about Stephanie. She is a living inspiration to me as a spiritual musician it is rare that I find someone so unique as her, when it comes to tuning to your heart. In interacting with her as a Life Coach, I was surprised at her own personal courage in facing quite difficult and stressful challenges and how she kept her composure through the process of rewinding the movie and seeing how she got there. I learned so much from her!

Energetic and Insightful Tutor
Stephanie helped my high school aged son prepare an application for admittance into a selective school program. She spent time to truly understand what the program was about so she could best assist my son. Stephanie also has a knack for figuring out a student's interest and then help them structure their answers accordingly. My son was so intrigued after their first session, that for the next two hours he continued to discuss with me their conversation. I highly recommend Stephanie for tutoring young adults!
