Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree in English from Southern New Hampshire University
Hello! What do you call a singer produced by Medusa? A rockstar.
My name is Elizabeth. I teach classes about Greek Mythology, History, Astronomy, and Literature.
I have a master's and bachelor's in English literature & writing, and I also have a TEFL certification. I have a lot of experience tutoring students in literature, writing, and history. And I’ve also volunteered as an ESL teacher at a local community college. Aside from my professional experience, my favorite subjects to teach are also my greatest personal interests and passions in life, which is why I love to teach classes about them!
Now I want to flashback to when I was a student… Throughout my years at school, the most memorable classes were the ones with teachers who were really passionate about the subjects they were teaching and reflected that passion into every lesson. They made learning fun, and that's something I value as I create and teach my own classes.
My goal as a teacher is to create a welcoming, fun learning environment with courses that spark joy and excitement in students, both in class and outside of it. Whether they’re discussing which greek god they would be a demigod child of, deciding which British queen is their favorite, or marveling at the mythology of the stars… I want students to walk away with new knowledge, confidence, AND passion in what they’ve learned!
