In this one time class, Intro to Human Anatomy & Physiology: Building Blocks, Basics & Homeostasis, learners will be introduced to the building blocks of the human body: cells, tissues, organs, & organ systems. We will discuss how they all work together to allow the body to function properly. We will also discuss the concept of homeostasis, the process that allows the human body to maintain balance or equilibrium. Homework comes in the form of worksheets and will take approx 30 min to an hour to complete. This time frame includes researching information in books (ie - science books at home or the local library) and reliable online searches.
