In this class students will learn Linux concepts by playing a text-based game and completing levels/challenges Students will be playing a text-based game which will introduce them to practical Linux concepts/commands. Please note this is a text ONLY based fantasy themed game (no animated graphics) with elements of wizardly type fantasy, Oregon Trail gaming, and decision based game play. Students will learn Linux commands that will help them progress through a fantasy world. This is more of a hands on type of class vs a theory type class, however I will be giving explanations on each answer/level and relate it to real world examples/concepts. My goal is to have students get exposure to real Linux practical skill/commands that will help them in their careers. Knowledge of the Linux operating system is invaluable for a career in IT/Programming/Computers, etc. *Note: Please only Windows computers. No connecting with iPads, tablets, etc* Students are expected to know basics of getting around a Windows computer.
