This Intro to Guitar class is perfect for the absolute beginner. We will learn how to hold a guitar, the different parts of our guitar, and begin playing right in their first lesson! With simple, fun exercises, they will start developing the skills they need to play, and will even learn how to play a song or two using just 1 finger. They should walk away feeling inspired, knowing that they can already play the guitar! What class will look like: 🎶 Parts of the guitar + how to hold it 🎶 The strings and their names 🎶 First 1 finger chord (C) + 1 chord song (Row Row Row Your Boat) 🎶 Second 1 finger chord (G) + 2 chord song (Mary Had a Little Lamb) This class is perfect for children who have never played a guitar, and leads smoothly into my Beginner Guitar semester long classes. Student's will need to come with a tuned guitar, using the "Tuning Your Guitar" guide I have provided. Students may need help from an adult for this.
