I have performed throughout the New England area with El Arte Flamenco, Faustino Rios Spanish Dance Company at the Columbia Restaurant, Ramon delos Reyes Spanish Dance Theatre, Omayra Amaya-Flamenco Sin Limites, The Revels of Cambridge, MA and the Ballet Espanol de Clara Ramona to name a few. I have appeared on broadcast shows such as Revista Hispana WHDH TV, Boston, MA; Gypsy Heart with Omayra Amaya; El Show de Fernandito and in theatre for Blood Wedding by Double Edge Theatre, Boston, MA. My teaching experience is with the Gilford Public Library, Gilford, NH; Flamenco Summer Session 2018 at the Studio at Meredith Bay; Sevillanas Concurso de Rosa, Gilford, NH; Faustino Rios Spanish Dance Academy, Maynard, MA; Concord Academy, Concord, MA; The Middlesex School, Concord, MA.
My training in classical dance and Flamenco began at the age of five. I have been fortunate to study Flamenco with Farruquito (Montoya), Ramon de los Reyes, Clara Ramona, Omayra Amaya, Rogelio Rodriguez, Maria Magdalena (Madrid), Nino de los Reyes, Isaac de los Reyes, Luisa Triana, Jesus Carmona and Lucia Campillo.
If available, a hard wood surface would help in the production of sound. Character shoes or shoes with a small heel would also help with sound production. Girls should wear a leotard or form fitting top, have a long skirt that is light and can move freely. Boys should have a form fitted t-shirt and exercise pants for easy movement.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners should have an open workout space, wear a leotard or fitted top, proper footwear and a water bottle. If your child has long hair, it should be pulled back into a ponytail or bun. Students are responsible for listening to their bodies and should discontinue a movement if it feels uncomfortable to prevent injuries.
