Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will learn the step-by-step process of developing a collection through activity-based projects. The projects we complete will replicate the development process shown in fashion design portfolios.
- New York-based Fashion Designer for nearly 15 years
- Graduated summa cum laude from Philadelphia University with a BS in Fashion Design
- Adjunct Professor of Fashion Studies
- Professional experience in Art, Design, Merchandising, Sales, Production, and Marketing
Weekly design project! All learners should post their weekly projects to the classroom page before the next lesson. Fashion pop quiz questions will be posted throughout the week. Full participation will further our understanding of the weekly lesson and help us engage with each other's work.
- 8 1/2" x 11" (or larger) blank paper (approx 10 sheets total) - Pencil with eraser - Markers, colored pencils, or crayons - Attached print-out materials - Scissors and glue stick - Print-outs provided each week in Classroom - Found materials* (helpful, but not necessary): any old catalogs or magazines from around the home with interesting pictures. Stickers and other craft materials work too. *if you don't have any found materials, the print-outs included will provide the basics of what is needed **OPTIONAL: Three-ring binder with clear sleeves. If you'd like to start a fashion design portfolio at home, this is an easy way for children to keep a collection of their work. Creating a book is a great tool in learning how to communicate design ideas and projects.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
