I like to start class with a brief Spanish greeting:ask and answers "What's your name?", teach vocabulary, then do something interactive with it. I often use songs, dance, and video to reinforce new learning. I also like to include simple crafts so that students have something to remember the class by. Students will learn to say and spell their names in Spanish. Students will learn to recognize the Spanish names of animals and their sounds.
Just basic school supplies: paper and pencil, construction paper, markers or colored pencils, scissors. A magazine that can be cut up for pictures may be helpful but not required
Informal questions and answers and/or learning games to assess.
