Igneous Rocks are 1 of 3 main rock types and are by far the most exciting. We cover underground magma chambers spewing volcanic lava and killer ash erupting miles in the air. Then we focus on the different rocks formations these make.

Class Experience
None. Although (on request) students can be directed to other external sources discussing this area of Geology. I can also schedule a discussion group, or more advanced classes, if your child wants to explore this subject further.
I have a BSc in Geology and an MSc in Geophysics. I have done several projects in this area a love teaching this class as it covers the fundamentals of Igneous Rocks and some of the most exciting rock forming processes on Earth.
None. Although (on request) the student can be sent a quick quiz on the lesson to test what they remember from the class.
