After completing this class, students should have a much better understanding of how to interact in a Dungeons & Dragons game using the rules outlined in The Player’s Handbook. 1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class will use Google Slides as a platform to present information to students in a digestible manner. The Google Slides will be used only in screen-share, with no account on the students' part required. This class uses the virtual tabletop platform “Roll20” to play D&D, allowing learners to see the elements of the game and interact with them. “Roll20” is only compatible with a laptop or desktop computer, so please ensure your learner is not joining from a phone or tablet. You will need to create an account for your learner on Roll20. Once your learner has enrolled in the class, we will reach out with a guide to joining Roll20 and help get their character sheet uploaded.
We will be using Roll20 for this campaign. https://roll20.net We highly recommend your student own a copy of The Player's Handbook as it can be excellent for reference and ideas.
