In the class students will learn the drawing tools in Procreate for iPad. Basic tools such as brushes, brush size and brush opacity, color selection will be covered. In addition tools like layers, effects, the selection tool and more advanced tools and skills will covered as well. Demonstrations of various tools and techniques will occur with time for students to try each one and ask questions. Requests for technique demonstrations will be taken towards the end of the class. Please make sure you have the latest version of Procreate installed on your iPad before class.

I have been teaching art for over 23 years in public and private school settings. I have taught as young a 1 1/2 years old and as old as high school seniors. I currently run a makerspace for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. I teach everything from drawing and painting to cartooning to digital art to sculpture/ceramics and even domino art. In addition to being a teacher I am aa graphic artist and have written and illustrated several children's books.
When I teach I stress creativity and love for my students to use their imaginations and be as creative as possible The more creative the better!
