This 6-week art class is for young artists who want to improve their drawing and illustration skills.
Class experience
In this interactive drawing class, I’ll teach a variety of drawing and design techniques with a focus on creating cartoons and comics. Many of the drawing techniques I will teach can also be applied to most any form of art, not just cartooning and comics, so students are getting a comprehensive introduction to drawing and illustrating. Students will learn a variety of tips and techniques for drawing in general and also techniques specific to cartoons, character design, and comics.
Homework Offered
Children are not expected to completely finish their assignments in class but will be given time to share their work at the beginning of each session. Please expect to set aside at least one hour outside of class for your learner to complete their work.Assessments Offered

Computer Krita (Free software) FireAlpaca (Free software) Drawing pad optional but great to use over mouse I recommend downloading a week before class and letting your child use it so they are familiar with the interface before class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Illustrations may depict fire, explosions, and laser blasters but will never include violence to people or animals, or any creatures. We will be using Youtube, Krita, and FireAlpacia for class.
