Class Experience

Students will learn the basics of coding as it applies to the operation of the VEX robotics system. Concepts will translate to other more complex coding languages.
I studied electrical engineering in high school and college. I have built solar cars, electric cars, and a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle as well as a variety of robotics projects and platforms. I taught high school engineering for over 10 years and now teach middle school science and engineering.
I would suggest using the Chrome Browser for the simulator we will use for a robot. Some people have reported issues trying to get on with iPads. While this should work, I would recommend a computer (Mac or Windows PC) or a Chromebook as I have fully tested those. We may refer to these websites for examples and links in addition to virtual presentation.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
