Intro to cell biology is an introductory course on the organization and development of living organisms and cellular biology. This course is intended for middle school and early high school students. No prior knowledge or experience is needed for this course. The first class will be a general introduction to cells to gear the students prior knowledge and to introduce them to the topic. The next classes will go as followed: Basic Cell Structure and Plasma Membrane, Eukaryotic Cells vs....
The students will gain a basic knowledge on cellular structure and cellular reproduction. This is designed to be an entry course for further biological study such as genetics.
I have a Bachelor's in Biology. My focus in university was on cell biology, specifically cancer. I had been apart of many research studies and have even presented some of my research in major seminars across the United States.
Handouts will be provided. Students should have paper/notebooks and pencils to take their own notes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
