Class Experience

Students will learn the basics of card magic.

Week 1-Definition of what card magic is. How to spread the cards. The riffle shuffle. Overhand shuffle. Self working card trick.

Week 2- How to predict what card a spectator will choose and different ways to use what is called a card force.

Week 3- Continuation of the overhand shuffle and tricks using it. Introduction into the glide. A very useful sleight of hand technique.

Week 4- Introduction into the double lift and its many many uses.

At the beginning of each class I will demonstrate to the group the topic that we will be discussing. I will give an overview of the history and uses of each technique we will be using. Each week students will have the opportunity to perform for the group to demonstrate what they have learned and practiced. The only homework that will be assigned is to practice. Practice is what makes performing magic fun!
