In this 8-week course, students will learn to use AutoCAD. This is one of the leading programs used in engineering and architecture. This course will put your son or daughter miles ahead of most other students their age!

This course is for students interested in pursuing careers in Engineering or Architecture. I'm going to teach you skills that most students don't learn until college! This means you will be miles ahead of other people your age!

This week, the goal is to get AutoCAD installed on your computer and get something else (monitor, laptop, tablet) ready to watch work along videos. We will also learn how to draw multi-view drawings. These are used in industry to build almost everything.

AutoCAD installation & Basic Multi-views

This week we will begin learning how to use AutoCAD and all of it's commands!

Intro to AutoCAD

In this lesson, we will learn how AutoCAD utilizes different coordinate systems.  We will also learn the various Circle commands.

Coordinate Systems & Circle commands

This week, we will learn how to use all of the "modify" commands in AutoCAD.  Then, it's time to start practicing all that we've learned!!

In this lesson, we will learn how to place text in drawings and learn the great importance of using "layers" to organize our drawings.

Text and Layer commands

In this lesson, we learn how to set up and place dimensions on multi-view drawings. This skill is critical in industry to be able to accurately build anything.

Dimensioning in AutoCAD

In this lesson, we will construct Isometric drawings and learn the very important Block command.

In this last lesson, we will cover Array commands and see how they make very complex drawings simple!
