Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this self-paced, text-based lesson, students will explore the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on daily life. They will learn how AI works, its applications in different fields, and the ethical considerations surrounding its use. What Will Be Taught? Students will gain a foundational understanding of AI, covering key concepts such as: What AI is and how it mimics human intelligence The role of data, algorithms, and machine learning Real-world examples of AI in daily life, from voice assistants to recommendation systems The benefits and challenges of AI, including privacy concerns and automation’s effect on jobs Future possibilities for AI and responsible innovation Class Structure & Teaching Style This independent learning module is structured for flexibility, allowing students to complete it at their own pace. The lesson includes: Engaging, easy-to-understand reading materials Real-world examples and relatable applications of AI A guided assignment, "AI in Your Life," where students analyze AI’s role in their own experiences Clear instructions and a final reflection task to encourage critical thinking While this is an asynchronous class, students are encouraged to actively engage with the material by applying AI concepts to their lives. My teaching style is clear, engaging, and designed to make AI approachable, ensuring students feel confident in their understanding of this evolving technology.
