Are you interested in making a short and sweet animation? Normally, animation can take a really long time and takes a while to get used to, but with this workshop, we can get you started with the simple and free animation software, Wick Editor! In this workshop, students will learn the basics to 2D animation while getting acquainted with the common tools digital animation software has to offer. We’ll walk through the animation process while providing tips to making an efficient yet lively animation. By the time the workshop is done, students will be walking away with a fun experience and a short animation under their belt! Some key concepts covered alongside the instructor during this workshop are: >>> Familiarizing students with animation software >>> Introduction of basic animation principles >>> Exploring the flow of animation creation As Wick is browser-embedded software, there is no pre-installation needed and no previous animation experience needed for this course! Students with drawing tablets are encouraged to use them, though it is not required for this course.

We will be using Wick Editor. Parental Consent is required for Learners under the age of 13. It can be found and used at the following website https://www.wickeditor.com/#/
This software should run in any modern browser, (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari), though we cannot guarantee software will run property on mobile devices such as iPads or other tablets.
