I chose to offer this course to spark interest in a visual language for students. This course will give them an idea of how to communicate using American Sign Language and encourage them to continue their journey of learning a non-verbal language. I have my Associates and Bachelors Degree in Sign Language Interpreting and currently work with deaf/hard of hearing clients. I will be using techniques and experiences I have learned along my language journey. It is my hope that students will take a liking to this unique language and want to continue to take lessons to learn more!
