This class will be geared towards general knowledge and communication rather than meeting any theurapeutic targets (this is not speech therapy). This class is designed for hearing students with a hearing instructor. I have a bachelor's degree in Speech but am not a licensed Speech Therapist. I have used ASL (in-person) in my Specal Education classrooms and Pre-K classes to communicate with students. Occasionally, I have also used it to communicate to my BFF, who is HoH. This class is designed to introduce hearing students to ASL and Deaf/Hard of Hearing (HoH) culture and give them very basic communication skills.
