Students will learn how to add numbers within 1,000 using helpful strategies. Students will also apply these strategies while solving real-world math problems and estimating their answers. I strongly suggest this class as an introduction or review of 3rd grade math materials. Before taking this class, students should have a basic concept of place value with 10's and 100's, basic addition, and how to use a number line.
