THIS IS AN ONGOING CLASS - JOIN ANY TIME! SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS Blender must be installed and fully working on your computer BEFORE you enter class. Watch the video (in the class thumbnail image) to learn how to install blender. Students also need to be able to share their Blender computer screen to participate in class (Blender needs to be installed on the same computer that students have logged into Outschool, an additional screen or device can be used to view the lesson if desired). ...
- The main goal is to make sure students can understand and use 3D animation techniques successfully. The focus is on progress, not perfection.

My teaching includes 4 years as a public school teacher, 15 years as the owner of the Creative Art Network (after-school, during school, and summer programs) and 12 years as an artist in residence (mural painting focus). I've also been designing elaborate video tutorials since 2008 for a large variety of mediums. I love what I do and that passion drives my ongoing learning. I’ve studied traditional art through Cornish College of the Arts, Western Wa University, and a variety of other classes. The source of my ongoing digital art training (Primarily 2d digital illustration and animation and 3D modeling and animation) is through Animation Mentor, Think Tank Training Center of Canada, CG Masters academy, CG Boost Academy, Udemy, Skillshare, InLearning, and much more.
No required classes, complete beginners can attend!

Blender 3.5 or later is required for this class. REQUIRED STARTING THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS: -Computer: Mac or PC (check the class video for computer’s requirements) CHROMEBOOKS AND TABLETS DON'T WORK WITH BLENDER -Blender Software (must be installed on your computer by the start of your first class. Instructions on how to do this are in the Outschool Classroom, available after signup and in the class thumbnail video above.) -3 Button Mouse SUGGESTED Number pad 2nd monitor connected to your computer for viewing the lesson NOTE: After signup, please go to the Outschool Classroom "WELCOME POST" to prepare for class.

It is completely safe to use and is child and teen friendly. Blender is used by a variety of Outschool teachers. For more information go to www.blender.org. No outside learning management systems will be used for this class. All content will be shared through the Outschool Classroom.
