Class Experience

Blender is a fantastic tool that is slowly becoming the leading 3d software. Blender used in Unity, 3d modeling, and animation. Many professional studios are now making the switch into Blender. A great example of this is Pixar used Blender to model Mr. Incredible! This class is for the complete beginner, where each session students create something in Blender that they can share! The end goal of this class is for each student to have a 3d showreel. By creating a showreel now, it will help them grow their careers in the 3d graphics space!

Blender is free to download at https://www.blender.org

This is a multi-day class where each class we are working on a 3d character. Its really hard to miss classes, since everything is built own each other!
Class 1: Basic of drawing and animating a ball. Students will learn the actually physics and math behind an object falling. Furthermore will learn how to make an animation realistic while over exaggerating with squash and stretch
Class 2: Draw in a 3d space, this is the latest rage in 2d art. You draw 2d art in 3d, thus making a 3d object! Currently Blender is developing feature to extend this with VR headsets, this could be the future of animating!
Class 3: How to do a 2d effect on a 3d object, plus great cartoon materials for your 3d objects!
Class 4: Texture paint a 3d scene, latest thing in 2d animation where you use a 3d scene as the background. This saves time and money for your 2d animations!
Class 5: Using "metaballs" to create cartoony clouds, tress and crying!
Class 6: Intro to rotoscoping, learning the history of rotoscoping.
Class 7: rotoscoping a 3d character
Class 8: rotoscoping a 3d character for an action sequence using basic shapes. Using shapes is a lot easer, faster and cleaner.
Class 9: Using a cartoon face rig to overlay your drawing to speed up animation and to reduce cost
