NEW MEMBERS WELCOME! A whimsically wild and dangerous D&D adventure in and out of the Feywild in search of the legendary Baba Yaga. This D&D On-Going adventure is a creative combination of Grimm's Fairy Tales, Wonderland, Neverland, Narnia, Classical Mythology, Russian Folklore and the latest D&D module - Wild Beyond the Witchlight - a seriously fun and intense series of adventures. Students will be swept up in a series of interrelated adventures that criss-cross time and space, traveling through various planes searching for the Dancing Hut, home of the most powerful witch in the Multiverse - Baba Yaga. Their task is simple: to ask Baba Yaga a question. Adventures will need to work together finding important clues, in solving impossible puzzles, surmounting monumental challenges, and making world-changing decisions! This will be a truly EPIC D&D adventure, not to be missed. The outline below has been left intentionally vague to add to the mystery and surprise of this very creative and exciting campaign. We do not rush our class time, thus some announced modules may take several weeks to allow for students to explore, role play and develop the story as they wish. (D&D 5E rules - students may create any established race/class Player Character (PC) as per published modules and at the discretion of the Dungeon Master (DM). All students must roll up their character on Roll20 during Session Zero - all NEW students are welcome and will be seamlessly integrated into the present adventure - if possible please notify me so that we can have meeting/discussion about what character you wish to play and so that I can explain what has happened thus far. Due to the nature of this whimsical adventure "drop ins" will be expected! Week of 15 January - "Session Zero" - Introductions, discussion of the campaign concept, character creation, discussion of game style and anticipated experiences. Week of 22 December - Winter Carnival Day in the Land of the Firebird Week of 27 December - Departure of the Carnival Week of 5 February - Through the Looking Glass Month of March - The Grimm Lands Month of April - Irrisen the Land of Eternal Winter Month of May - Welcome to the Jungle Month of June - The Sands of Time Month of July - The Archipelago of Doom Each module above will comprise at least four weeks of classes - Each module is rich in content and could turn into an extended campaign depending upon the decisions and wishes of the players. There will be suspense, scary situations, close calls, and fantasy combat with dastardly villains & monsters. All content is meant to enhance the D&D experience and most will come from established modules, the rest will be derived from Grimm's Fairy Tales, Wonderland, Neverland, and such - all is meant to entertain and educate.
Supply List
I have a huge amount of D&D resources available through my Roll20 account (Wild Beyond Witchlight, Tasha's Cauldron, Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, etc.) - therefore the student does not need to purchase any books/material for class. Anything else the student may need I probably have and can answer any questions they may have concerning their characters.

External Resources
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Teacher expertise and credentials
3 Degrees
Master's Degree in History from American Military University
Bachelor's Degree in Education from University of Maine at Farmington
Bachelor's Degree in History from Acadia University (Nova Scotia, Canada)
The study of History and its many applications to "real life" has been my professional goal for over thirty years. I have developed several immersive classes for this platform which are engaging and meaningful. This platform is an unique opportunity for a teacher to share their enthusiasm for a subject with interested students. As a parent of a nine-year old, who is enrolled in many classes, I appreciate the value of the opportunities Outschool provides.
I am a certified Social Studies teacher with experience teaching in a private and public school setting in the U.S. and overseas. Recently, I have developed and integrated role playing games as part of an effort to make my on-line instruction more meaningful and engaging for students. I firmly believe that this immersive experience provides for the student an invaluable experience in participating in the historical content rather than just reading about it in a textbook.
The D&D series of immersive courses (e.g., Mythical Greek Adventures) I have developed are designed to not only have the students play a great role playing game, but to thoroughly engage them in the mythological content through the Three Pillars of Adventure inherent in all role playing games.
With all the D&D adventure classes I teach, I work in a great deal of Geography and History to add flavor and meaning to the sessions. When applicable I also work in many thematic elements of World Literature and I am presently working on a "Total Victorian Immersion" course of study which I am sure students will experience both learning and enjoyment. I believe there is no better way for a student to understand a time period or genre of literature than to be an active participant in the "story".
