In this class, we will be talking about all things needed for an interview. This class is great if you have questions about being in an interview for a job, college, music program or interviewing for college sports. These skills are universal for any career or academic interview. Interviews are held in various ways, from pre-recorded videos, zoom interviews, or in-person. However, in all of these forms, it's important to know how to present yourself, how to prepare, and how to stay calm during the interview. If applicable to the type of interview you are preparing for please bring your resume. We will be discussing how to utilize our resumes in an interview setting. If you have a resume, come with a copy of it (digital or print) if you don't have one, we will discuss how to build one. This class will be a mix of lecture and discussion the teacher will give a presentation on interview skills, and then the class will be open to any questions. So, come prepared with questions about interviewing. We will even be practicing how to answer questions like why are you interested in working here? How will you be a strength to our team? This is a good class to review simple skills you will need for an upcoming interview.

I have interviewed for a variety of academic and career-type interviews. I have been in in-person interviews as well as virtual interviewing settings. One of my favorite classes was an interview class in college. I know interviewing can be nerve-wracking, so I am here to help learners not be so nervous. I have helped prepare multiple students for college interviews and student-athlete interviews with coaches.
