Class Experience
More than just a practice interview, this one student class provides strategy, practice and is a real confidence booster! Students will learn key public speaking tips and how to view the interview from the interviewer's point of view: what are they looking for? what needs to happen for the interviewer to step back and say "Wow, that was a great interview." Students will figure out what they want to highlight during the interview, and we will discuss how best to showcase those traits,...
Students will learn basic and advanced interview skills, as well as a clear idea of what is necessary to have a successful interview. They will learn to think about what the interviewer is looking for, and how to put forth their personality, skills and interests in the best possible light.
After signing up for the course, a student will receive a questionnaire that will 1) help the student begin to get the most out of the class, and 2) help me to prepare for the class and tailor our time together to the learner's individual goals. This questionnaire can be filled out by the learner or the parent/guardian with input from the learner.
You will receive an individual assessment within 24 hours of the class highlighting what we discussed. This assessment will include both particular strengths of the student as well as recommended areas of practice.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
