Students will learn how to stay safe while using the internet. This class will provide students with practical tips and guidelines to follow while using the internet, apps, and social media. We will discuss why it is important to stay safe on the internet and how they can protect themselves while using the internet. This class is taught with Canva presentation slides, lecture, discussion, and an activity where students think about what they would do in various situations. I believe in...
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
During this class, I may mention social media apps that your child is not yet old enough to have an account, such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc. I will explain age restrictions for these apps. I may mention them during class in the context of explaining how to stay safe and explaining why it is important not to share personal information on the internet.
