Description
Class Experience
In this multi-week class, learners will learn about making formal dresses. We will be discussing pattern assembly, how to choose and cut your fabric in accordance with the pattern recommendations, princess seams, cap sleeves, and how to add customizations to make this gown unique Meeting 1: assemble pattern and cut fabric skirt pieces Meeting 2: Sew skirt and pockets Meeting 3: Cut bodice pieces and assemble front and back Meeting 4: Cut lining pieces, assemble lining, sew neck...
Pattern printed and assembled (link provided in class. Please print before our first class) Fabric (specific length can be found on the pattern, consider purchasing more fabric than recommended in case there are any cutting errors) Fabric scissors Sewing machine Thread Sewing kit Iron + Ironing board
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 4+ hours per week outside of class.
We will be working with sewing machines, irons, and scissors. Please have a parent nearby to supervise.
