Intermediate Ukulele - Rockschool Grade 4 Curriculum Part 1 - Semi-Private Class (Ages 9 - 13) Experience Necessary Recommended for students who have been playing for 3 or more years and have the chords C, G, Am, F, Dm, G7, C7, D and Em memorized, have a beginner knowledge of barre chords and have a solid understanding of basic rhythm and strumming. Classes begin with warmups and exercises which encourage the development of excellent technique. Warmups include finger isolation exercises to develop strength in the left-hand and strumming exercises to develop right-hand technique. My teaching style is fun and positive while pushing students to progress at the same time. Classes continue with technical exercises from the Rockschool Grade 4 Ukulele textbook: Technical Exercises * Group A - Scales * Group B - Arpeggios * Group C - Chord Voicings After warmups and technical exercises we work on the songs from the Grade 4 textbook. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, I'm Siobhan! A versatile and passionate human interested in continuing to learn and grow throughout life's journey. I spent nine years living in Thailand working as a professional musician and private music teacher. For five of those years, I ran my own business, a music school, where I gained valuable experience and a versatile skill set. Just before the pandemic, I was traveling and developing new skills including cooking gourmet vegetarian food, managing a kitchen, managing social media pages, video editing as well as completing my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course. During the pandemic, I began creating music classes that are specifically designed to be delivered online. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, travel, and practicing music.
