This is an intermediate Spanish class for learners who are already familiar with basic Spanish vocabulary and some verb conjugation. Prerequisites include knowledge of the following: The verbs estar, tener, gustar, ser, ir and some other common verbs. Basic vocabulary, which means you already know days of the week, colors, numbers, clothing words, food, family, animals, greetings, house vocabulary so on. You may not know how to put those words together yet to form sentences or read...

I am a National Board Certified bilingual teacher with certifications to teach Spanish as a first or second language since 2002. I have worked with bilingual students in private, public and online settings teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced Spanish since 2002. Verification of certification status is available on public sites for NBCT holders, Wisconsin and Illinois departments of public instruction. I have taught this novel multiple times to various grade levels since 2012.
Each week you will receive a chapter packet. You will need to take note of vocabulary from the text and write down any other unfamiliar words from the text. Additional Short comprehension or application activities and questions are included. We will discuss the vocabulary and some chapter questions in class. Learners will need to read and reread one short chapter a week and can submit optional application activities.
