The students will improve their communication through the use of increased vocabulary, more detailed descriptions and the ability to give and recognize orders, instructions and addresses. Also through this classes, they will increases the depth of their Spanish abilities by learning other tenses and new grammatical structures. The students will be able to express themselves much more spontaneously, be capable of telling sentences in the past tense, learn about additional tenses and expand vocabulary. * The first week the students will learn vocabulary and grammar that will allow them to talk about the school. The first week we will focus on: 1) Singular and Plural Nouns; Gender and Articles. 2) Identifying People, Places, and Things. *The second week the students will learn vocabulary and grammar that will allow them to talk about the family. This second week we will focus on: 1) Present Tense of "ser", expressing to be. 2) Possessing Adjectives, expressing possession. 3) Demonstrative Adjective, pointing out people and things. *The third week the students will learn vocabulary and grammar that will allow them to talk about their house and its furnishings. Los muebles, los cuartos y las partes de la casa. This fourth week we will focus on: 1) Verbs hacer, oir, salir, traer y ver. Expressing actions. Present tense. *The forth week the students will learn vocabulary and grammar that will allow them to talk about the seasons and the weather. Que tiempo es hoy?, los meses y las estaciones del año. This fifth week we will focus on: 1) Present Progressive: estar+-ndo , que estan haciendo? what are they doing? 2) Comparison, describing. Direct objects Pronouns. Expressing what or whom. Indefinite and Negative Words, expressing negation. I teach in a interactive way. I want students to improve communication skills by simulating real-life experiences! We will meet twice a week and students will need daily time practicing what they learned in class. Even just 30 minutes per day can make a tremendous difference in the skills they develop. -How much Spanish the student need to know to be able to join the class? The student must be able to: * Understands and uses familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. * Be able to introduce him/herself and others and be able to ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.
