In this 4 week course, Learners will learn how to make their own leggings from scratch! We will go from piecing together a printed pattern, cutting the material, sewing it all together, and tailoring it as needed. Our meetings will go as follows: Meeting 1: Put together pattern and cut to size Meeting 2: Cut out fabric and pin together Meeting 3: Sew Leggings together and start the waistband Meeting 4: Finish and attach the waistband and make any final adjustments ...
Sewing machine 2 yards of a 4-way stretch knit fabric (double brushed polyester, bamboo lycra, and cotton lycra are all good choices for soft stretchy leggings) Thread Pins Scissors Printed Pattern (I will post the link to the free pattern in the classroom) Measuring tape
We will be dealing with sewing machines, and sharp pins. Please have a parent nearby to supervise.
