Class Experience

In this class, students will learn how to fold the origami crane and 2-3 other birds depending on time and student ability.

I will go through each fold on camera so that students can see each step demonstrated live. Students will be left unmuted so that they may ask questions at any time. I will adjust the pacing of the class to suit my students' needs and abilities. I keep my classes small to allow for a high level of individual support.

Students must understand basic origami folds for this class! The crane is intermediate level origami. Students should be comfortable with mountain and valley folds. I recommend that students take my beginner level origami class first.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!

I am Miss Hillary from New Jersey.

I am a certified teacher in grades K-6 and special education K-12. On Outschool, I teach art (my favorite subject!). I received my Master's in Teaching degree from the College of New Jersey. My undergraduate degree is from the University of New Hampshire where I majored in anthropology.

I have been working with kids in a variety of settings for the past 10 years. I have taught in both public and private schools, and I have also done homeschool instruction. Prior to getting my teaching degree, I led art classes at my local library and at a summer camp. I also coached gymnastics throughout college.

I have always had a passion for teaching and working with kids. I believe that learning should be fun and strive to make all my classes enjoyable and engaging.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy riding my horse Maxi! We like to go on relaxing trail rides together.
