Lesson 2:
Techniques: Glazing and Scumbling
In this lesson, we will discuss two important oil painting techniques: glazing and scumbling. These can really work together beautifully in a painting, and take it to the next level.
Lesson 3:
Techniques Part II: Impasto and S'graffito
With Impasto, we cover adding thick paint for texture. With S'graffito we experiment with scratching away bits of paint to reveal layers.
Lesson 4:
Mixing Mediums and Varnishing
Varnishing helps paintings stand the test of time. But is it all it's cracked up to be? We explore varnishing and how it's meant to keep paintings alive for centuries to come.
