✩ This course is ONLY for students who already took Beginning Music Production with Mini Musicians Studio and want to continue to expand their new awesome GarageBand skills! ✩ Are you excited for the next level?!?! Come join us for ANOTHER course of fun music production! We will continue to master your understanding of the GarageBand app with new and challenging projects each day of class! By the end of this course, your student will have created 3 different projects, which are detailed in the descriptions below... ♫ 𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙎𝙀 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙉𝙏: ♫ ♪ Day 1: we will learn about an instrument from ancient China, use the instrument in the app to record a custom melody, and add international loops to create our own international song ♪ Day 2: we will create a piece inspired by a famous classical song, but remix it using modern instruments ♪ Day 3: we will learn about the 12-Bar Blues and create our own piece using the chord progression while adding our own fun and creative twist ♪ Day 4: final touches + sharing! ~Students will be encouraged to send their pieces to their instructor so they can be posted in the classroom page. This way students can go onto the classroom page, listen to each others songs, and give positive and encouraging feedback to each other!~ ♫ 𝙒𝙀 𝙒𝙄𝙇𝙇 𝙇𝙀𝘼𝙍𝙉 : ♫ ✔ How to play the digital instruments inside the app ✔ Learn about the 12-Bar Blues and characteristics of this genre ✔ How to play and record more advanced chords on various instruments ✔ How to create an arrangement inspired by an existing piece ✔ Learn about instruments from other countries and characteristics of an international piece ✔ …and more! ✩ 𝙋𝙇𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙀 𝙉𝙊𝙏𝙀 ✩ ♪ iPads or iPhones with GarageBand downloaded are ~ REQUIRED ~ for this course. Please download the app ahead of time to ensure that your student is prepared for camp (Requires iOS 13.0 or later!!!). Please let us know if you have problems at least 24 hours before camp starts- refunds will NOT be given to students who realize they cannot access the app on Day 1 of camp. ♪ We recommend that students have two devices- one for our Zoom call and one for GarageBand. This way they can watch as their instructor demonstrates with their iPad on Zoom while they complete tasks on their GarageBand app.

Supply List
In order to succeed in this course, students are required to have an iPad or iPhone with GarageBand downloaded. It is a free app for any Apple device and we will use the touch-screen features, so iPads/iPhones are required. Students are not required to have any background knowledge of the application- your teacher will walk you through every step of creating your own song!
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
