Homework
Each week, the teacher will give the learners a simple and optional homework, such as "Describe the pictures in Korean with expressions using adjectives we studied in class. Share it with the other students in the next class, if you are okay with it, but it's okay not to do it. It is optional." It's going to be a great practice to read, write, speak, and listen. I know that people have different ways to study, so I just suggest this homework but it's optional! I wouldn't mind it even if you don't want to share with other students or you don't do the homework. Everybody has a different way to study, and I'm just a guide on your way :)

Class Experience

< This is a intermediate level Korean class. This class requires over beginner level in Korean. Please check my beginner classes to see what we study in the beginner level classes. It'll be good to take this class, if you think you know about the topics I talk about in the 5 beginner Korean classes I offer. Please feel free to message me about the class, if you have any questions! I'd be happy to answer. The teacher provides summary slides of the class and recorded pronunciation video to help learners' study. >

Let's study about adjectives deeply. In this 6 week class, as the second class of my intermediate level Korean curriculum, we're going to study about theory, forms, vocabulary of adjectives, and have conversations in Korean with sentences using those with a native Korean teacher. We're going to start from the basic ideas of adjectives in Korean and master adjectives with this one class. You'll be able to understand deep theory of adjectives in Korean, and be able have conversations such as "How was the math test?-It was long and hard, but it was fun." or "So, what does the pen look like?-It's black, short and thin." in Korean after this class.

Here's the plan for what we're going to study each week!
Week 1 : 형용사의 개념 - Do you know that most of Koreans don't even know that verbs and adjectives are different? It's because they're almost the same in Korean. Let's talk about the ideas of adjectives in Korean and study the theory part of adjectives, and see what kinds of things we're going to talk about in this class.
Week 2 : 아기 예쁘다. - Let's learn the most basic usage of adjectives. We're going to study basic vocabulary of adjectives and make sentences with it. We're going to study about present tense of adjectives as well. "Present tense of adjective," it sounds very strange, right? You'll be able to say "The baby is pretty." or "The water is cold." after this class.
Week 3 : 어제 재밌었어. - "It was fun yesterday." Korean adjectives have past tense and future tense. That's weird, right? Let's study how to express past tense in adjectives.
Week 4 : 내일 재밌을 거야. - "It's going to be fun tomorrow." Let's study about future tense in adjectives. We're going to learn how to express our guess, as one more related expression.
Week 5 : 착한 아이, 따뜻한 물 - "Good kid" and "warm water." For three weeks, we studied about predicate adjectives as one major part of adjectives. We're going to study about adjectives which are used with nouns.
Week 6 : 종합 연습 - We're going to review what we learned for 5 weeks, and we're going to have a big conversation practice time! Your Korean is going to be much more beautiful than before in this level :)

We're going to work with slides made by BE Education. We're going to practice reading, listening, speaking, and writing with the expressions we studied in the class. There will be next level of following intermediate Korean classes as a series, and I offer more advanced classes and practice classes as well, so please take following classes if you're interested! I'm looking forward to seeing you guys in the class :)

This class requires understanding of the Korean characters Hangul, and finishing beginner level Korean. It can be difficult to take this class if you didn't finish beginner level Korean. I recommend taking the beginner Korean classes I offer before taking this class, but it's not necessary if you check what we study in those classes and you think you already know it. Feel free to join and let's have a fun time!

I offer total 7 intermediate Korean classes, and this class is the second of the seven classes. If you follow this 7 class curriculum, you'll be able to improve your Korean quite significantly. I offer beginner and advanced level Korean classes as well, so please take the beginner or advanced level classes if you're interested!

I'm a native Korean speaker who lived in Korea for 28 years and majored in biology. I'm fluent in Korean and English both. I got perfect score in Korean language, math and science sections in the Korean SAT. I have experience working in college press and thesis correction in Korea. I have taught Korean language to Korean students for college entrance exams and non-native students for more than 8 years.
Learning Goals
Learners will master adjectives in Korean. Korean adjectives are very different than English adjectives, so it's going to be good studying with a experienced teacher, and I'm sure that it's going to be a great asset for further study. After this class, learners will be able to use adjectives freely in conversations!
