In this class, children will become familiar with Spanish words, sentences, and vocabulary through immersion. The kids will enjoy learning how to communicate and ask more advanced questions through dialogs, improv games, and creative activities. Our teachers are native Spanish speakers, so your child will gain a solid foundation in the Spanish language and culture. In addition, we will use the classroom board to share our work, learn more, and have fun. After class, we will provide students with electronic resources like songs, lyrics, crafts, and videos about Spanish and Latin American culture to enhance learning, practice, and have fun!

The class will be taught in Spanish. However, explanations might be in English when needed.

After completing this course, young learners can continue learning on Level 2

REQUIREMENTS: Students ages 8 to 12 who have completed the previous "!Yo hablo español!" 8-course series or are able to speak at the equivalent of A1 level are recommended to take this course. At this level, the students can understand and use everyday expressions and very basic phrases that are frequently used and can satisfy needs of a specific type. They can introduce themselves and others, using very basic information about their life, belongings and also can ask and answer questions about personal details.

Lengualista is a Spanish teaching method where young learners come together to learn languages easily with music, games, and fun. Using music specifically written for learning Spanish and educational games created with Spanish content for young learners, we encourage children's natural intuition and curiosity to keep them engaged and interested while learning Spanish.

Our Spanish classes are:

- Easy: with visual cues and graphic content.
- Interactive: Constant games and activities to keep the students engaged.
- Fun: A variety of fun, different games designed specifically for young learners of the Spanish language every class to help the students learn while playing.
- Supported with additional activities: Additional, exciting activities help the students refresh what they learned in class while feeling great about what they are doing.

Many scientific studies in Neuroscience have demonstrated that learning becomes easy when accompanied by strong positive emotions and when students are paired with enjoyable experiences. This is our main goal when teaching Spanish for Children. Based on this, we decided to spice up our courses with fun all over in every lesson, from songs and games to fun exercises and tricks to keep their mind sharp while interacting and being entertained.

Our Teachers are all Spanish natives speakers with comprehensive background in education and languages:

Arnaly Arriaga
Arnaly is a native Venezuelan. She became a teacher by accident, and that, in her own words, has been the best accident ever. She studied Administration, Marketing and also became a Bachelor of Music from McGill University. She performed, sang, won awards, and decided to have babies when she met the coolest guy, her husband, Ken. That's when teaching appeared in her life. It started as a side job, and ended up being a very successful career. After 10 years of teaching piano, English and Spanish. Her love for teaching and creating keeps her happily busy.

Ana María Rodriguez
Another native of Venezuela who lives in Montreal, Canada. Profe Ana María graduated as Teacher of Modern Languages in Venezuela, where she taught for many years. She moved to Montreal, Canada in 2019, where she now resides and teaches exclusively online.

María Eugenia Semprum "Profe Maru"
Profe Maru was born in Venezuela and she loves to teach, whether in brick and mortar schools or online, she enjoys every minute of it. She has a degree in Education with a Master's in Arts. She has been teaching for more than 15 years from early education to adults. Having married a musician, she loves to teach using music and applying the benefits of music to learning.

Mary Castro
Mary is from the tropical island of Puerto Rico, going towards her 10th year as a Teacher. She has taught over 4,000 students globally. She brings patience and joy to the classroom and is very passionate about helping children grow and learn. Not only that, but she has a bachelor degree and a TESOL Certification. She has the Spanish roots running through her veins, and you'll see her dance while listening to music, as she enjoys a variety of genres.

Besides being teachers, our instructors are professional musicians and artists in different fields of creative arts. These additional skills clearly enrich our courses and immerse your child into the Latin American culture. Each teacher brings their own personality to the class and makes it attractive in their own way for students of all ages.
