This course is the second of Intermediate Greek .Learners will be introduced to some review of intermediate vocabulary and grammar and proceed more into further practice of the language. The class will be based in using flashcards and power point lessons .We will role-play dialogues , write mails and make e- pals with Greek students .By the end of each class we will do interactive quizzes and check our knowledge using games . WEEK 1-2 : Basic Greetings ( Γειά σου ! Τί κάνεις; / Απο πού είσαι ; )-Nationalities ( Similarities/ Differences ) Grammar : Review of articles , genders , nouns and adjectives and adverbs ending in (-α) By the end of the week the learners will know how to talk about daily life / childhood events and fill in a simple curriculum vitae. Also they will be able to present a friend describing his/ her facial features and character traits WEEK 3-4 : Entertainment / Free time Learners learn to invite ( accept or refuse an invitation), express a wish, an intention and a decision. Through certain vocabulary associated with food, beverages and shows they will learn to ask others for various things and practise giving permission. They will be introduced to subjunctive mood ( simple )and enclitic . By the end of the third week they will know how too express wishes and how to speak when they are with company and friends and having fun WEEKS 5-6: Nutrition Learners will be introduced to Greek nutritional habits (similarities and differences ), food , beverages and celebrations . They will learn to give orders , instructions and advice by using imperative and modality ( I would like ). By the end of Week 6 learners will know how to write a recipe and talk about their preferences . WEEKS 7-8: Social Life and Celebrations This week we will know how to give our wishes at a celebration. Also we will learn the possessive adjective ( δικός -ή- ό μου), the interrogative pronoun ( τίνος - ποιανών ). By the end of week 8 learners will have learned how to write an invitation to a party and describe plans at a celebration. WEEKS 9-10: Natural environment Students will learn vocabulary associated with locations (mountain, sea , ocean etc), plants , animals .They will describe pictures and know how to write a simple formal letter ( e.g to an ecological group ). WEEK 11: Health / Health care In this week we will cover health problems , feelings , parts of the body and doctors ( basic specializations ).Learners will simulate conversations of patient- doctor and practise Greek vocabulary by role -playing . They will learn numerals ( 1000- 1.000.000), όλος ,-η, -ο Week 12: Review of the material covered so far . In the end of the course learners will check their knowledge by role- playing , quizzes , online games

Parental Guidance
We will use quizlet to check our vocabulary knowledge . There is no need for the student to create any account . The learners use the link I will send in the chat and they click on the link and get access to the game. All the books will be screen shared and we will have plenty of time to work with the material . The supplementary material( pdfs ) will be attached in the classroom board for further practice .

I have a BA degree in English Language and literature and an MA in TESOL. I have been teaching English to young children , teenagers and adults for 20 years .
