Class Experience

In this on-going class your learner will enjoy learning some basics in face and body painting. Class starts with greetings and introductions as well as an assessment of what the learner knows and would like to learn.
Each week will focus on a particular idea or skill, and we will make something fun!
The teacher will demonstrate on her own hand or arm, so designs may be done on the face, but it is not necessary. Teacher will also draw on paper to continually show students how to create the design. The learner will be encouraged to practice on their own arm and hand.
The learner will learn how to active paint, load brushes, create a design step by step and how to care for supplies.
Along with the basics of each design the teacher will share techniques, tips and tricks for making the design pop! The learner is encouraged to share their work. The learner will also be encourage to be proud of their own work!

1st Class: Introduction to face paint, assessing learner's abilities, discovering what learner wants to accomplish.
2nd Class: brush types and what we do with them
3rd Class: line work: teardrops
4th Class: Color theory
5th Class: line work: curls and swirls
6th Class: double dipped flowers

***Parents, please note that while face paints are designed to be used on the skin, there is still a chance for potential allergens and reactions. Please consider this when buying and using products. Snazaroo is a good brand for sensitive skin. Never the less, testing on a small product on a small area of the arm before using on face or large area.

Hi! I'm Angela and I love teaching! I have been a teacher in one capacity or another for over 15 years! I also love learning and want to share that with others!
I have been teaching English as a second language online for 3 years. I also tutor a young girl in English in preparation for her SAT.
I have loved being a substitute teacher! I love working with so many different kids, teaching a variety subjects to all grades!
I have learned so much about behavior modification while working one on one with children with special needs! I was frequently recognized for my work with these children.
I believe children learn best when the learning is fun!
I live in southern California where it is really hot!! So I spend my summers swimming with my husband and 2 young daughters, but our cat refuses to swim with us!
