Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to physically perform a contemporary combination. Students will improve their creativity skills through improvisation. Students will improve their flexibility.
I am a Licensed General Education Teacher and Professional Contemporary Dancer. I have taken contemporary classes for the past 10 years and have experience implementing my teaching knowledge into Contemporary Classes for 9-12 years old. My contemporary choreography has been showcased on multiple stages around the United States.
Wear clothes you can move and groove in! Socks, jazz shoes, or gym shoes are all welcome. For your safety, make sure you are using no-slip socks and on a floor that has grip for your feet. We will be moving around on one leg and turning, so please have a safe space with room to move your arms and legs.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment through feedback from the teacher during class.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Dance requires physical participation, therefore, please make sure your child has an open workout space, slip-proof socks or bare feet, a water bottle near by, and activewear type clothing. Since I am not physically present in the room with the dancers, injuries from moving around are possible if not properly supervised by an adult.
