In this 2 session class, we will be learning how to bake and decorate delicious sugar cookies!

We will begin by discuss the basics of baking: accurate measuring, how to choose ingredients, and baking techniques. This is a hands on and participation based class! It is designed to be fun and interactive. This will be a relaxed learning experience using step-by-step instructions and opportunity for questions as we go. I will be utilizing demonstration and discussion methods to provide information to students, as well as reference recipes that can be printed and referred back to. Students should have basic knowledge of making dough and handling baking tools. We will introduce use of piping bags and decorating techniques. Can't wait to bake with you! 1st class: Baking rolled sugar cookie cutouts 2nd class: making and decorating with royal icing *Cookies may finish baking after class time has ended. Guidance will be given on what the finished product should look like*
Learning Goals
Students will improve knowledge of measuring ingredients and baking cookies.
Students will learn to make and handle royal icing.
Students will learn decorating techniques using piping bags.
