This lesson introduces learners to the concept of prompt engineering—how to communicate effectively with AI tools to get accurate, relevant, and creative responses. Students will explore different prompt styles, test outcomes, and learn how AI interprets input based on structure, clarity, and context.



Speaking AI’s Language: Mastering the Art of the Prompt

This lesson introduces learners to the creative potential of AI tools for generating original written and visual content. Students will explore how to guide AI using stylistic prompts, control tone and structure, and use text-to-image generators to produce digital artwork. By experimenting with writing and art tools, learners will gain hands-on experience in how AI interprets imaginative prompts and enhances personal creativity.









Creative AI – Writing and Art Tools

This lesson introduces learners to using AI as a research support tool—helping summarize information, brainstorm topics, explore unfamiliar concepts, and even check sources. Students will learn how to ask AI for evidence, evaluate credibility, and detect bias. By the end of the week, they will know how to responsibly use AI to support academic or personal research without falling into the trap of misinformation or over-reliance.

Smarter Searches – Research and Fact-Checking with AI

This lesson introduces learners to the productivity side of AI—using it to plan, organize, and automate routine tasks. Students will learn how to create schedules, write checklists, break down large projects, and even build simple automations using AI-generated instructions. The focus is on saving time, reducing stress, and building better habits with AI support.



Smarter Routines – AI for Organization and Task Automation

This lesson introduces learners to the use of AI in analyzing and organizing data, especially in spreadsheets like Google Sheets or Excel. Students will learn how to ask AI to help clean up messy data, create basic charts, write formulas, and interpret patterns or trends. Whether it's budgeting, project tracking, or survey results, this lesson shows how AI can simplify working with numbers and lists—even if you're not a "math person."

Smarter Numbers – AI in Data and Spreadsheet Analysis

This lesson introduces learners to using AI to design clean, informative, and creative presentations and websites. Students will learn how to generate slide outlines, design visual elements, build basic personal or portfolio websites, and ask AI for writing help, layout ideas, and formatting suggestions. With a focus on clear communication, students will explore how AI can help package ideas for different audiences.

Show It Off – AI for Presentations and Website Building

This lesson introduces learners to the ethical challenges and responsibilities of using AI tools. Students will explore issues like bias in AI outputs, plagiarism and misuse, privacy, misinformation, and the importance of transparency. They'll also learn how to ask AI for help ethically—using it as a support tool rather than a shortcut—and develop their own personal “AI use code.”



Think Before You Click – Ethical Use of AI and Avoiding Bias

This final lesson gives learners the chance to apply everything they've learned by creating a project that showcases their AI skills. Students will choose a real-world topic, problem, or idea and use AI tools to develop a creative or practical product—such as a digital presentation, a simple website, a short report or guide, a visual portfolio, or a productivity system. The goal is to demonstrate how AI can support clear communication, creativity, organization, and ethical use in action.
