Interior Design: History of Styles High School Course
In this 8-week high school level class, students will learn the history of interior design by studying the styles of private & public spaces from ancient to modern times. They will practice identifying the influence of these styles in today's interior styles & furnishings.

Class Experience
Students will know the timeline of interior design styles throughout history and their relationship to today.
About Ms. Katie: I am a professional designer, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design (Architectural, Interior, Landscape) as well as worked in the building industry for over a decade in California and Washington States.
Assignments will be given each week in class.
Students will need a variety of magazines with rooms & furniture designs for projects or be able to go online to print. They will need pen & notebook to take notes. Any other materials needed will be discussed in the classroom posts.
A letter grade and/or informal assessment available upon request. Students will receive a certificate of completion.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
