Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this 4-week class, students will be introduced to Interior Design Principles, and also create a fun tassel garland decoration for your room! ***Please note that this is the flexible version of the Interior Design Course. Classes are not live but pre-recorded and students may choose when to take the lessons, according to their schedule. This class will be interactive with students and teachers. Students will be asked to upload and share work of Interior Design, in our classroom. I will post weekly on Mondays, both with a pre-recorded video and a share and a discussion message. I will be available to discuss, answer questions, and support every learner. Students are also encouraged to work together through the Outschool classroom platform as a class. Our "mini-project" will be designed to help students engage in a meaningful and fun activity weekly. We will also have a Class, Scavenger Hunt. *PDF's included and available to print Here is an example of Course Content and Videos for each learner: 1st Class- Video 1: What's Your Style? Students will be introduced to Interior Design styles & see various examples of each style. **Mini Project: Create a Mood Board to Define Your Style. Share with the Class. 2nd Class- Video 2: Colour and Moods. We will learn color schemes, cool vs. warm tones, and moods that color creates. **Mini Project: Follow a tutorial to create a beautiful tassel garland from your favorite colors of yarn for your room. Learners will be shown how to problem solve and improve spaces. Cardstock or colored paper 3-5 yarn skeins in colors of your choosing 6-8" inch book used to wrap yarn Scissors tape Natural cord or twine for garland *3/4' Wooden beads (optional) We will also be using apps or games of choice such as roomstyler.com, SIMS, Roblox, Minecraft, Animal Crossings, Pinterest, etc. to design a room.

Bachelor's Degree in Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho
In 2021, I began work as an Interior Designer at a Design Firm In Idaho. I love to decorate, and cannot wait to share the beauty of the season by creating a craft with my students. My passion is interior design. I utilize home design software to create home plans for living spaces. I continue design work as a room designer and create design boards for room plans. I have over 15 years of combined teaching experience.
