Class Experience
In this interactive camp, students will create floorplans, engage with their peers through interior design discussion, and digitally design their own studio apartment! I will encourage students to practice the basic principles of interior design, but also encourage them to draw from their own personality and style when designing! Students will improve their understanding of interior design basics and apply this understanding by planning and designing their own studio apartment.
Through obtaining my bachelor's degree, I have taken several art and design courses. I am constantly taking continuing education courses to sharpen my understanding on new trends in the interior design realm.
For the first session, students will find inspiration outside of class. Depending on how much time and effort students put into their designs, they may find themselves planning and designing beyond the given class time.
- Paper (to create a floorplan) - Pencil
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Please note that this course requires the use of a free third-party tool, Room Styler. The instructor will guide families through the simple sign-up process. This tool will allow students to digitally design their studio apartments. The instructor will be providing a tutorial and constant guidance while using the program.
