Being a great writer can lead to great success in all areas of your lives. In this one time course, students will develop the confidence to be able to write a paragraph. The class will begin with an explanation of the reasons why we write. We will then discuss how to write a sentence and a paragraph. Students will use the "hamburger paragraph" method in class. We will discuss the four types of paragraph writing. Students will then be given a writing prompt to choose from. They will write a paragraph and be encouraged to present their creative writing prompt to the class. If time allots, we will play a blooket game based off paragraph writing. This is an introductory course. However, all students are welcome to practice their writing skills in the classroom. ESL Learners are welcomed.
Learning Goals
They will develop confidence to be able to write a sentence and a paragraph. They will also be able to practice their creative writing skills.

Supply List
A one page hand out on how to write a paragraph and the four types of paragraphs would be given, if requested. Please bring pen, pencil, and notebook.
