US Grade 2 - 4
This one time class will cover all the basics of writing a strong and thorough paragraph. This class will discuss the importance of organization in the form of an introduction, supporting details, and a conclusion. We will also discuss the need for transition words, as well as the importance of descriptive writing. We will look at written paragraphs as examples during class. We will look at examples of paragraphs to try to find the mistakes and improve the paragraphs. We will then look at examples of well-written paragraphs. The last 10-15 minutes of class will be reserved for students to work on writing their own paragraphs. I will check in with each student as he or she writes, both answering questions and offering constructive feedback. Finally, students who are comfortable sharing may share their paragraph at the end of each class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been working with children of all ages for the past 15 years, and I absolutely love motivating children to learn and find the joy in learning.
My undergraduate degree was in Developmental Psychology, and I have taught high school students for many years. I have been teaching on Outschool for over two years and love every minute of it! I am currently a work at home mom of five young boys, so I am comfortable working with all age groups.
I look forward to working with your learner!
