Students will participate in a read-a-long of "How to Catch a Unicorn". We will use an interactive digital app after our story to help promote class discussion, comprehension, and sharing ideas. Then we will create our own unicorn craft.

In this one-time class we will go together on an exciting adventure to catch a unicorn. Students will listen to a read-a-long with the teacher the book, "How to Catch a Unicorn" by Adam Wallace and check out beautiful Illustrations by Andy Elkerton. We will use a digital interactive app to help promote class discussion, comprehension, and share ideas throughout our adventure. After the reading we will make our own beautiful unicorn craft. Students will share their thoughts and ideas about unicorns and participate in class discussions.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their comprehension and reading skills. They will be encouraged to share their ideas on how they would catch a unicorn. We will practice vocabulary, sequencing, and comparing. We will use our creative minds to create a beautiful unicorn craft together.
